This was a project I completed in my Product Systems Research course during my 4th year at Syracuse University. The objective of this project was to choose a common household product and conduct both primary and secondary research on the target user, materiality, production processes, and environmental impact of the product. Once the research step was completed, I was able to move on to the next project objective, which was to redesign the product in a way that would reduce the overall environmental impact of the product as well as improve its aesthetic design and functionality.
